I am so in awe of the incredible work these artists do, and so very grateful that they chose to share their work with MWP readers. It’s always been my dream to bring you beautiful, original, local wedding style and that’s just what we were able to do on MWP Blog. So a HUGE thank you to every one in my MWP team – you are all ROCKSTARS. To those of you who read and like and comment and pin and support our blog – thank you! It always lovely to see such a great response. As a wedding planner and wedding blogger, I connect with the most outstanding community of photographers, make up artists, couturists and decorators on a daily basis to bring you the best of Indian weddings. And in today’s post we are featuring one of India’s most well-known wedding photographers Amar Ramesh. In a two part series we are featuring the gorgeous sangeet and wedding of Alekya and Prashanth.
Amar Ramesh says, “Alekya and Prashanth’s wedding was a riot of colours, resounding sound of music, Reflective hues of lights. And one beautiful couple. JRC Convention Centre witnessed an amazing evening of dance and music whenthe couple celebrated their love for each other and a promise to be there for one another forevermore! Weddings in Hyderabad does not cease to amaze me every time. The extravagant décor, the “down to the cutlery” consistency in theme, beautiful dressed up friends and the glammed out sequence of events. I used to be overwhelmed when I initially started shooting weddings in Hyderabad three years ago but eventually it grows up on you but Alekya and Prashanth’s jaw-dropping wedding decor and the attention to detail just amazed me. Perfection stepped up a notch in this wedding and as a photographer it was just a flick of the switch/shutter to make the fairytale come alive on to the pictures.”
Ideas to steal from this sangeet:
1) Superb Entry by bride and groom on a scooter!
2) Use of glitter paper and thermacol (made to look as as pearls) in the dance sequence that makes the photos look amazing!
3) Beautiful use of lights and effects (Ask your wedding planner or decorator to give you good ideas to use lights to enhance your decor set up)
4) Use of props like sunglasses and lungis to make the dances more fun and enjoyable to watch
5) South Indian songs with ample of jhatkas and thumkas to make your crowd go insane with laughter!
Happy Browsing guys! Make sure you read about their resplendent gold wedding ceremony captured beautifully by Amar Ramesh!
Love the peach pink lehenga with gold embroidery worn by our stunning MWP bride! Swoon worthy!
