Girls, ready to take it up a notch? Luxury awaits us at the city of Nawabs as Nidhi and Abhinav get married at the regal Taj, Lucknow. Settled in the US, the couple met in 2011 and decided to get married in India in January this year in a resplendent ceremony captured beautifully by the talented photographer Rajesh Dembla, of Camera crew Mumbai. There’s a sparkle in some couples that’s impossible to miss when you’re around them, or in this case, by just scrolling through their gorgeous wedding imagery. Nidhi is a vision to behold in this dazzling red and gold lehenga that is fit for a queen. Love the detailing and the zardozi work that match the scarlet hues beautifully. Her handsome groom Abhinav complements her charmingly in a maharaja-style blue sherwani kurta teamed with a maroon dhoti.
When we asked Nidhi what she loves most about Abhinav, she said, “He is a fun loving person. He is my best friend! In my life, after my father, Abhinav is my hero! Sorry Abhinav, I am still Daddy’s girl. And yes, he knows and appreciates the fact that I am Daddy’s girl and I love papa more than him. I guess, for every girl her father is her first hero. I am no different. Another attractive quality of Abhinav is, he is a ‘wonderful’ cook. Oh, I love his cooking. Sometimes I think that he should be a chef and not a software engineer. Trust me, he is really good. And the best part is, he loves cooking. Voila! Win-win situation for me. :)”
I love the posh royal ambience of Taj that serves as the picture perfect backdrop as the bride and groom happily pose for the shutterbugs! These wedding shots look like they have been picked up from a bridal magazine! An antique chest and ornate Awadhi carpet serve as a decadent setting for a royal indulgent couple shoot on the wedding day!
From the couple:
Hi Nidhi and Abhinav. Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding with our readers at MWP. We would love to know more about the two of you, and how you met each other.
“We all must have come across this quote “Someone somewhere is made for you”. Like every girl, I too was dreaming about my “someone” and was waiting where he will meet me someday. Well, god has his own plans. He didn’t want me to stand in the long line of finding love. He blessed me with a very loving, caring and extremely handsome ‘neighbour’. Yes, you heard it right. My neighbour, the guy next door! 🙂 My husband’s apartment was right across my apartment. So, this is how we met! But read below how we connected.
Although, we were neighbours we never had an opportunity to meet each other until my sister Nisha decided to introduce me to her online friend Mr. Abhinav Sharma. So, this is how we met for the first time. Dinner with my sister, and my future husband. Then it clicked that we lived right across each other, and we were neighbours. Voila!
And then?
Then…my sister’s vacation got over and she went back to India, and here in US, Abhinav and I became friends for life.
I was lucky that I had an opportunity to know him very well before marriage. And I guess, in that case he is equally lucky. Destiny has its own plans. We connected so strongly with each other as if we knew each other from years. True! We were meant for each other. And here we are, happily married from last 3 months.”
That’s wonderful. Planning a wedding can be very exciting and takes a lot of time. But the wedding day passes before you know it! What are you looking forward to most now that you’re married?
Happiness. Wherever we are, whatever we do, and in any phase of life we shall try to be content and happy. We are extremely blessed. God has given us everything. We have personally felt that marriage makes love even stronger and we feel things have gone one layer up after we got married. We are deeply, madly, and crazy in love with each other. Indeed, it is a beautiful feeling to wake up every morning to the person you love and it is equally amazing to grow old with that person.
Nidhi adds, “I know there will be a time when things will be tough, but I look forward to hold his hands and cross that tough path together. Cheers, to love! Cheers to life!”
Abhinav says – “Thanks to almighty, our parents, siblings and everyone for their love. I look forward to have a wonderful life ahead, plus one month vacation in Europe with my wife (oops that was a secret)!! :)”
A big thank you to Nidhi and Abhinav for sharing their story with MWP and also to Camera crew for capturing such amazing photographs of the day!
