You know those charming couples you come across every once in a while.. Yep, Ruchi and Yash were THAT couple. They were funny, stylish, kind and utterly in-love. Ruchi with her graceful approach to everything and Yash’s infectious laugh, they have been a pleasure to work with. After considering a lot of options, we finalized the perfect venues for all their events.Yash and Ruchi had a cocktail party at Aamby Valley in Lonavala followed by a mehendi afternoon at The Club in Andheri. They had their sangeet at Sahara Star and their wedding and reception at Grand Hyatt, Santacruz
Once the venues were finalized, they couldn’t wait to get us started on designing and neither could we! Yash and Ruchi invited their guests for a weekend of pre-wedding fun at Aamby Valley in Lonavala where guests could relax and have loads of fun! The evening started with a pool party at the Lagoon followed by a ‘glow in the dark’ theme at the convention center at Aamby Valley. They wanted their guests to join in their celebrations and party like nobody’s business!! And boy did everyone party hard!
P.S: As much as I would have liked to, I need to take my client’s privacy into consideration, and refrain from uploading pictures of the cocktail party at Aamby Valley. But I will make up, by posting pictures of their mehendi, sangeet and wedding instead! 🙂
MEHENDI AT THE CLUB
Ruchi looked spectacular in a green and ivory lehenga, dolled up by celebrity make up artist Ojas Rajani. Guests danced to the beats of a live band that played a mix of gujurati and hindi songs. The afternoon was fun, festive and colorful. We had arranged for a spa, and guests took home some amazing gift spa sets specially created for Yash and Ruchi’s celebration.
SANGEET AT SAHARA STAR
The Sangeet was held at Sahara Star’s beautiful Jade Ballroom.
Thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration guys!
Team My Wedding Planning
Cocktail night: Aamby Valley
Our feedback: Amazing experience and is one of India’s most expensive and highly coveted venues. However, they charge for each and everything (ridiculous amounts of money as venue rental included). The place is HUGE, and waiting for the buggy to arrive and take you from your hotel room to the venue can be a taxing experience.
Mehendi Venue: The Club, Andheri West
Our feedback: Great food, value for money venue with lovely chandeliers adding to its charm. However if you’re considering this venue, you must book well in advance as its almost always sold out!
Sangeet Venue: Sahara Star, Domestic Airport
Our feedback: Great food, attentive service. Decor can get expensive as the in house decorators on panel are among the more expensive ones in town.
Hair and Make up: Ojas Rajani
Photography and Cinematography: Candid Framez
