We’re super excited today! This is the second wedding MWP is featuring with a French connection! And boy, it’s beautiful! Laurie, our French bride looks absolutely spectacular on all days in elegant lehengas (including a fab red lehenga by Anita Dongre on her wedding day). The unique style of Laurie and Pankaj and their beautiful wedding immediately caught our attention when we saw it on Navdeep Soni’s page and we knew we had to have it on the blog! The couple’s impeccably matched wedding attire was impossible to miss and their choice of venue was perfect for them. I couldn’t be more in love with this wedding shoot from Navdeep Soni Photography! Laurie and Pankaj met in Noida and soon knew they were meant to be. When it came time to pick a destination wedding venue Laurie and Pankaj wanted something special. A place not only beautiful – trust me, Chomu Palace fits that bill perfectly – but also one that presents India’s rich heritage and royal grandeur. After contemplating on a few heritage venues in Rajasthan they settled on an outdoorsy wedding at Chomu Palace. What I loved most was that they kept the decor simple and let the beauty and charm of the surroundings take over.
Let’s head to Jaipur for Laurie and Pankaj’s super sweet destination wedding at Chomu Palace. Spread over three days, the festivities included a cocktail night, mehendi and engagement, wedding and evening reception. Believe me, this is the kind of wedding that will have you wishing for a Royal Wedding in Rajasthan!
Absolutely love the traditional flowers used in this decor. The bright orange from the marigold mixed with the honey coloured facade of Chomu Palace is nothing short of stunning. Captured by Navdeep Soni this glam affair has me sighing at every image!
The festivities kicked off with a cocktail party. All the attendees had a gala time as they indulged in food and drinks. After a whole lot of dancing and merry making, rajasthani folk music and ghazals kept guests entertained till late at night. This was followed by a outdoor mehendi the next morning. Bright, cheerful and sunny…this is just how you’d imagine a mehendi at Chomu Palace! Strings of marigold, umbrellas and temple bells were used to enhance the rajasthani feel.
The engagement night was filled with indulgent drinks and delicious bites for the guests before the wedding. The scene, set with a color palette of lilac and white made for a relaxed and fun vibe.
Inspired by the beauty of the classic Indian bride, Laurie’s love for colours and ethnic designs are apparent in her choice of lehengas. She wore a gorgeous pink and pista green anarkali for her mehendi, followed by a royal blue anarkali for her engagement and a red lehenga for her wedding that was finished with gold threadwork and rhinestone that sparkled and gleamed with the play of light. So pretty, right?
For the wedding day, Pankaj wore a cream sherwani with a coral pink dupatta. With simple minimalistic make-up by Tejasvini Chander (of Chandni Singh’s salon), a bold red lip and kohl lined eye, Laurie is set to make her grand entrance as a bride! Such beautiful shots by Navdeep Soni. His weddings are always delightful!
With that it was time to wrap up the festivities in Jaipur. The couple took a day’s break and headed back to Noida for another reception party at JP Greens. Love the scarlet and green color combination of Laurie’s reception lehenga! Gorgeous!!! Born and raised in France, Laurie is such an inspiration for Indian brides-to-be! Her hair and make-up perfectly complements her wedding look. Here’s wishing the couple happiness and love!
Special thanks to Navdeep Soni for sharing this wonderful wedding! Be back tomorrow for a fusion Tamilian-Gujurati wedding that is oh-so-cute!!!
