If I may say so, Indian weddings can be very uninspiring at times and almost always lack personal flavour. At MWP we are always encouraging our brides to add a personal touch to their wedding day. Let your personality shine through on your most special day… your wedding is all about you after all! Small elements can make a big difference when it comes to wedding decor. Unique and chic, photographs are a great way to personalize your wedding décor. They can be set up as part of your wedding decoration or used during the wedding (like in the guestbook or by setting up a photo booth) or even used as wedding favors and give-aways.
Here are a 8 simple and creative ways to incorporate photographs into your wedding decor.
1. STRING PHOTOS ON A CLOTHESLINE
This is especially cute if your wedding or reception is outdoors. Photos can be hung up on clotheslines between trees as decoration. This way, your guests will get to know more about you and your groom by looking at these photos (especially for older guests who aren’t on facebook!). Choose photos of you and your new spouse throughout your relationship, or even include goofy pictures of your childhood and courtship phase for a fun and casual vibe!
2. PHOTOBOOTH
Nowadays most photographers have readymade arrangements for a photobooth to be incorporated in the wedding. Photobooths are so much fun and a great alternative to traditional photos of wedding guests taken when they greet you on stage. You can capture the excitement of your wedding guests with interactive and casual shots at the photobooth set up and keep them entertained as well! Score!
3. GUESTBOOK
You can arrange for a custom guest book from your photographer or a local photo studio. Try getting a leather-bound album wherein each page has an actual print of a photo mounted to the page. The [opposing] page is blank and writable. Guests can sign in on that and leave personalized messages. The book makes for a great keepsake which you can actually put on your coffee table and go back and enjoy the things people said.

4. USE PHOTOS AS FAVORS FOR YOUR GUESTS.
Put your favourite engagement picture on bookmarks or hand-held fans and give them out as wedding favors to your guests. You can even gift a photo frame with a stunning image of your pre-wedding shoot as a return gift to your guests.

Isn’t this cards deck with childhood portraits of the bride and groom way too adorable? You can also put your photo on a personalised small bottle of fruit champagne and hand it out to your wedding guests.
5. HUGE PHOTOS OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ENTRY AISLE
I loved this unique idea used at Sumesh Bhangar’s big fat Indian Wedding in Nepal.
6. AS A PART OF YOUR WEDDING DECOR
Bride Barsha has put up some cute and adorable photographs of herself and her fiancé on her special day. You can even use childhood photos if you don’t have great photos of your engagement day.

7. IN WEDDING STATIONERY
You can incorporate your photographs in your wedding card, save the date cards and ceremony program cards as well.

8. WEDDING PRESENTATION
This idea is commonly used in Indian weddings and is a great way to introduce your spouse to your family and friends! You can arrange photos of you and your spouse in a timeline, with your favourite songs playing in the background and make a cute and adorable presentation for your guests. You can also add a video talking about your love story and happiness about your imminent wedding.
